Hong Kong – November 2023 – After four years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the traditional Caritas bazaar has returned to Hong Kong, organized by the diocese of Hong Kong and attended by Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing, Auxiliary Bishop of Hong Kong. The Salesians were also present at this long-awaited event, specifically the representatives of the Parish of Mary Help of Christians, who managed six stands. The Salesians present created games based on passages from the gospel and paid homage to the visitors with original gifts. Participation in the event was supported by the entire pastoral team and by Fr Denis Kong, Parish Priest, Fr Louis Cheung, Assistant Parish Priest and Deacon Peter Leung. The Salesian and Catholic schools of the diocese were also involved for the occasion: in particular, Alex Yip, Principal of Tang King Po School, led a group of students from his school to collaborate with another Catholic school to manage the stands.
