Brazil - The Salesian Province of Brazil-Sao Paulo establishes a commission to preserve the institutional memory
São Paulo, Brazil - October 2023 - Last 2 October, the Coordinator of the Salesian Work Museum in Brazil, Marcos Lima, and the Documentation Analyst for the Provincial Archives, Claudia Trindade, presented a proposal to the Provincial Council of the Mary Help of Christians Province of Brazil-São Paulo (BSP) to establish a Commission for the Salesian Institutional Memory of the BSP Province. During the presentation, the importance of recording and sharing the stories and values that have shaped the institution over the years was emphasised. The establishment of the Salesian Institutional Memory Commission will be crucial to preserve and pass on this precious heritage to future generations. The proposal was unanimously approved, and work will begin as soon as possible on the management and mapping of the archival, museological and bibliographical collections found in the various Salesian houses in the State of São Paulo.
