Mandaluyong, Philippines – September 2023 – On September 30, the first meeting was held in the presence of the Salesian Youth Leaders and Animators Assembly (SYALA, in English) of the Province of Philippines North, after the pandemic. The Salesian Youth Movement, with the institutional support of the Don Bosco Technical Institute Mandaluyong (DBTC), organised this youth meeting under the banner of "Together, We Step Up". The main objective of the meeting was to introduce young people to the "PRIMER", the Basic Manual of the Salesian Youth Movement. The event was also attended by Fr Gerardo Martin, FIN Provincial, who addressed a brief message to the participants. Fr Martin also celebrated the Eucharistic celebration that concluded the event. Before taking their leave, the young people gathered in prayer for the Synod currently underway.
