Estoril, Portugal – August 7, 2023 – The Salesians of Estoril brought together all their volunteers from WYD DON BOSCO 23 for a thank you meal. In a festive atmosphere of sharing and fraternity, those responsible made a point of thanking all those who gave a little of their time in this World Youth Day Lisbon 2023. With a sense of fulfilment and with their hearts full, the volunteers who were at the service of the Salesians of Estoril during this World Youth Day gathered yesterday evening for a convivial meal. Sharing the experiences they have lived, as well as the nostalgia they already feel for the departure of the pilgrims, the volunteers were all together in a very special moment. For Ana Quintas, who participated as a volunteer in the SYM Festival choir, this was a “unique experience” and “very remarkable”, especially for the “diversity of cultures”. “It is good to know that there are many people who are the face and sign of God’s love”, she concluded.
