Aparecida do Norte, Brazil - August 2023 - The National Meeting of Rectors of Salesian Communities in Brazil, organised by the Conference of the Provinces of the Salesians of Don Bosco Brazil (CISBRASIL), in the city of Aparecida do Norte, in the State of São Paulo, concluded on Friday 4 August. The event brought together 90 Rectors from the six Salesian provinces of Brazil. One of the positive points emphasised by the participants at the meeting was that, starting with the manual known as "Animating and Governing the Community - The Ser-vice of the Salesian Rector", there was an exchange of experiences between Salesians from physically distant communities, but of the same charism, which strengthened the bonds of fraternity and collaboration between the Rectors. There were also several workshops for sharing and further exploration of specific topics. One of the participants, the Director General of the UniSALESIANO Salesian University, near Araçatuba, Fr Erondi Ta-mandaré, emphasised that the content shared among all the Rectors present had strengthened the mission and charism of the Salesians in Brazil. "I leave this meeting with a renewed enthusiasm and determination to continue contributing to the growth and development of young people, inspired by the teachings of St John Bosco."
