In the Salesian church of St Quirinus in Szombathely, Bishop János Székely ordained Salesian deacons Sándor Kovács and Ilodigwe Emmánuel Chekwube to the priesthood. Around 700 people attended the event, while others watched online via a video-sharing channel. Almost all the members of the Salesian community in the country came for these priestly ordinations, as well as representatives of the Salesian Family, local faithful and Salesian parishes, and young people from the oratories. Present were Fr Jorge Mario Crisafulli, Superior of the Africa Nigeria Niger (ANN) Province, from which Ilodigwe Emmánuel Chekwube came, with some of his family members and Salesians. Fr János Andrásfalvy, Superior of the UNG Province, thanked the Bishop for his presence and expressed his joy at the priestly ordination of the two Salesians, emphasising the fact that the last one had been celebrated ten years ago.
