Soyapango, El Salvador – June 2023 – 73 Salesian Cooperators (ASC) from 5 local centres in El Salvador took part in a day of recollection on 4 June  focused on the reflection of the “La Lettera” documentary, inspired by Pope Francis’ Laudato Si '. Divided into groups, participants reflected on three questions: what can we do individually; what can we do as an Association of Salesian Cooperators; and how to work together with young people to address the challenges of climate change. The day of recollection helped establish the need for a real process of ecological conversion. The closing Eucharist was celebrated by Fr Walter Solís, SDB, Delegate for the local Don Bosco ASC centre. He encouraged the participants to live in communion and harmony with God and with their brothers and sisters. The day of recollection was organised by the ASC National Councillor for Ongoing Formation, Roberto Damas, with the support of the National Council.
