Madrid, Spain - June 2022 - On Saturday, June 11, the priestly ordination of Salesians Sergi Moreno and Jesús María Ortega and the diaconal ordination of Salesians Luis Álvarez, Diego Borbolla, Paulin Kolan, and Emmanuel Lokossou were celebrated at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Madrid. The ordinations were presided over by Cardinal Carlos Osoro, Archbishop of Madrid, who urged the young Salesians to always be humble, understanding, and capable of bringing God's love to others. He then urged them to let themselves be shaped by God's love, as Don Bosco did. During the Eucharist, the young ordinands were accompanied by their families and many young people from the Salesian works where they do their pastoral work. Also present: Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Ángel Asurmendi Martínez, Provincial of the "Spain-Mary Help of Christians" Province, Fr Samuel Segura, Vicar of the "St. James the Greater" Salesian Province, and other Salesians from both Spanish Provinces.
