The fifth meeting of the cycle "Which Salesians for today’s youth?" promoted by the Centro Studi Opera Tabernacoli Viventi, in collaboration with the Conference of Salesian Provinces of Italy (CISI) - Formation Sector, will feature an interview by Fr Flaviano D'Ercoli with Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, SDB, Postulator General of the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, along with Dr. Maria Lodovica Zanet, Collaborator of the Postulation and teacher at the Paul VI Study Center in Nave (Brescia) affiliated with the Salesian Pontifical University.
The theme of the meeting will be: Salesian Holiness, a strong summons to the mystical life.
Also in the light of this year's Strenna, inspired by the figure of St. Francis de Sales, Salesians feel called to revive the great theme of the universal call to holiness (cf. LG 39) and to enhance within the Salesian Family the patrimony of holiness that has sprung from Don Bosco's charism.
From Don Bosco to our own day, in fact, there is a tradition of holiness that deserves attention because it is the incarnation of the charism that originated with Don Bosco and that has expressed itself in a plurality of states of life and forms. It is a question of men and women, young people and adults, consecrated and lay people, bishops and missionaries who, in historical, cultural and social contexts differing in time and space, have made the Salesian charism shine with a singular light, representing a patrimony that plays an effective role in the life and community of believers and for people of goodwill.
As the Salesian Constitutions say, "The witness of this holiness, which is implemented in the Salesian mission, reveals the unique value of the beatitudes, and is the most precious gift we can offer to young people."
The appointment, live, is for Saturday, March 12, from 9 to 10:15 am (UTC+1) on the Facebook page of Don Bosco Italia, as always with the possibility of asking other questions live for those who participate in the broadcast.
