Warsaw, Poland - February 2021 - A Holy Mass was celebrated on 18 February to remember Fr Marek Rybiński, SDB, a missionary in Tunisia, killed on 17 February 2011. The Salesian companions in the seminary took part: Fr Przemysław Solarski, Fr Piotr Szlufik, Fr Maciej Makuła and Fr Tomasz Łukaszuk. The rest of the Salesians who were unable to intervene joined spiritually in prayer. Fr Przemysław Solarski, Fr Marek's closest friend, in his homily recounted the life of the Salesian missionary, underlining that Fr Marek chose Christ and was a disciple to the cross. After the Holy Mass, a plaque was unveiled in memory of the deceased Polish missionaries. “They worked for years in the missions, evangelized, helped the poor, taught, built and carried out missionary projects. We want the memory of them and their good deeds to never fade.”
