(ANS – Belo Horizonte) – On 18 December, on the occasion of the 165th anniversary of the Salesian Congregation, the Saint John Bosco Province of Belo Horizonte (BBH) launched the "Sempre Salê" project. With the theme: "Once Salesian, always Salesian", the project aims to recover photos and documents that portray the history of Salesian educative and pastoral activities in School Units, Social Units (CESAM and Youth Centre), Oratories, Salesian Family Groups, Parishes and Chapels in the States of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Tocantins and the Federal District, for the construction of a Digital Audiovisual Gallery.
(ANS - Rome) - Today, Saturday, December 21, the 2024 winter orientation and training course for recently appointed Provincials concluded with a half-day dedicated to evaluation and sharing. This edition saw the participation of 15 Superiors from Salesian Provinces or Vice Provinces, coming from four continents and six Salesian Regions. They were guided in exploring the fundamental aspects of animation and governance necessary for effective leadership in their entrusted jurisdictions.
(ANS – Les Abymes) – The Salesians of Don Bosco have been in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe since September 2020, where they manage a parish and a social action project. The latter, due to its full expansion, is moving towards the need to have its own and larger structures, which will lead in the coming months to the construction of a "Lakou Bosco Village": a project at the service of young people and families, especially those most in need, in Guadeloupe.
(ANS – San Salvador) – The Salesian Universidad Don Bosco (UDB), based in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador, has presented a new logo, maarking an important stage in its continuous evolution and reflecting its commitment to educational excellence, the Salesian charism and its projection into the future. The change of image, more than a simple restyling, aims to recall more strongly the fundamental values of the institution: innovation, excellence, knowledge transfer and social commitment.
