Anisakan, Myanmar - February 2016 - From 29 February to 2 March, for the first time the Vice Province of Myanmar hosted the meeting of the Economers of the East Asia-Oceania Region. The meeting was led by Fr Piotr Gozdalski and Mr Fabio Buconi from the Economer General’s office, and by Fr Andy Satura, Coordinator of Economers of the Region. It was attended by 24 people from 11 provinces.
Madrid, Spain - February 2016 - On 27 February, in Don Bosco House, Madrid there was the meeting of the Association of Salesian Historians in Spain. Fr Jesús-Graciliano González was elected as President and Fr Luis Fernando López Falagan as Secretary.
São Paulo, Brazil - February 2016 - On 24 February Fr Anderson Bueno, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication in the Province of San Paolo, led the first meeting of Social Communication of the year. There were 16 participants, including employees in Social Communications and marketing, Salesians and pastoral workers of various institutions and social works.
(ANS - Aleppo) - On 26-27 February, some 70 young people from the Salesian Oratory in Aleppo staged a musical entitled "Lord of the Colours", written by Fr Pier Jabloyan, SDB, and Majed Zrek, a Salesian Cooperator. It tells the story of a city that has experienced a great and terrible war which has forced its inhabitants to close their eyes so as not to see the terrible things that were happening… until the Lord of the Colours comes.
