(ANS - Rome) - The St Dominic Savio Province of Manaus Brazil began in 1958, at the same time as another Brazilian Province, the one dedicated to St Pius X, based in Porto Alegre. This was the decision of the 18th General Chapter, during the term of office of the Rector Major Fr Renato Ziggiotti. However, the history of the Salesian presence in the region is much older.

(ANS – Cairo) – More than a thousand students, aged 14 to 18, are studying technical subjects—particularly mechatronics, computer science, and electronics—and excelling in mathematics and Italian, despite being from Egypt. They are trained at the "Don Bosco" Institute in Cairo, an Italian school abroad recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education since 1970, considered an educational excellence in the country and the only institution included in the "4+2" system. This system allows students, after four years at the Salesian high school, to enroll in Italian ITS Academy (Industrial Technical School), specialized post-diploma centers focused on advanced technology.

Young people from across the globe gathered to celebrate their shared Salesian charism, deepen their spirituality, and dream together in the footsteps of Don Bosco.
