01 - Bangalore, India - November 2017 - From 4 to 8 November, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, accompanied by his secretary, Fr Horacio López, visited the Bangalore Province.
02 - Guwahati, India - November 2017 - From 8 to 11 November, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, visited the Guwahati Province, accompanied by his Secretary, Fr Horacio López, by Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, Counselor for the Asia South Region, and by the Guwahati Provincial, Fr Thomas Vattathara.
03 - Mumbai, India - November 2017 - On 11 and 12 November, the Rector Major visited the Salesian reception center and the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Matunga, Mumbai Province, on the 60th anniversary of the spiritual center established in 1957 on the initiative of Salesian missionary pioneer, Fr Maschio.
04 - Maputo, Mozambique - November 2017 – On 21-26 November, the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime was on his Animation Visit to the area. He was accompanied by his Secretary, Fr Horacio López, by the Councilor for the Africa-Madagascar Region, Fr Américo Chaquisse, and by Fr Marco Biaggi, Provincial of the Mozambican Vice Province.
05 - Luanda, Angola - November 2017 - Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime visited the Vice Province of Angola from 17 to 21 November.
06 - Rome, Italy - November 2017 - On 18 November the remains of Don Bosco's successors, Fr Ricceri, Fr Viganò and Fr Vecchi, were exhumed from the Salesian cemetery at the Catacombs of San Callisto and moved to Valdocco where, in the afternoon of November 20, they were re-located in the Chapel of Relics of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians.
07 - Port-au-Prince, Haiti - November 2017 - The two symbols of GMG, the cross and the icon of the Virgin Mary, arrived in Haiti on 11 November; at the airport were Cardinal Chibly Langlois, the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Eugene Martin Nugent, and the Ambassador of Panama. The welcome was offered by the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, Msgr Sylvain Ducange, SDB.
08 - Simbu, Papua New Guinea - 5 November 2017 - A new shrine dedicated to Don Bosco was blessed and inaugurated. The archbishop of Port Moresby, Cardinal John Ribat, MSC, presided over the rites, and was accompanied by numerous other prelates including the Salesian Msgr Pedro Baquero, bishop of Kerema, and the Provincial of the Papua New Guinea-Solomon Islands Vice Province, Fr Alfred Maravilla.
