01 - Santa Julia, Mexico - May 2017 – On May 11, Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, guided the pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe and celebrated Mass at the feet of the "Morenita of Tepeyac", the Virgin of Guadalupe.
02 - Turin, Italy - May 2017 - The World Consulta of the Salesian Family took place from 21 to 23 May; attendants included: Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, and Fr Fabio Attard, Youth Pastoral Councilor and Fr Eusebio Munoz, the Rector Major’s Delegate for the Salesian Family.
03 - Turin, Italy - May 2017 - On May 24, the traditional procession of Mary Help of Christians took place on the streets of Turin.
04 - Rome, Italy - May 2017 - From May 16 to May 20, the Team Visit to the Central and Northern Europe Region was conducted by Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, with several members of the General Council.
05 - Turin, Italy - May 21, 2017 - On May 21, the Rector Major blessed the tombs destined to host the remains of the deceased Rector Majors; also present: Fr Enrico Stasi, Provincial of the Special District of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta, and its Council; the Vicar General and the Provincial of the FMA; and the Basilica's animation team.
06 - Fatima, Portugal - May 2017 - On May 12 and 13, Pope Francis went to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima to celebrate the centenary of Marian apparitions and to canonize the two shepherd children Francesco and Giacinta Marto, beatified by John Paul II in 2000.
07 - Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea - May 2017 - On 20 May, Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, presided over the solemn Eucharistic concelebration for the ordination of three bishops and the inauguration of two new dioceses. Among the presidents ordainedwas Salesian Miguel Angel Nguema Bee, new bishop of Ebebiyin.
08 - Turin, Italy - May 2017 - From 19 to 21 May Don Bosco Volunteers (VDB) celebrated the centenary of their foundation in Turin-Valdocco, where the first three volunteers met under the guidance of Fr Filippo Rinaldi on May 20, 1917.
