01. Lima, Peru - February 2023 - From February 13 to 20, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, made an Animation Visit to the Salesian Province of Peru where he participated in various meetings with Salesians, youth and members of the Salesian Family. He also presided over the installation of the new Provincial, Fr Juan Pablo Alcas, and the opening of the centennial of Salesian presence in Huancayo.
02. Hyderabad, India - February 2023 - From February 25 to 28, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, made an Animation Visit to the Salesian Province of Hyderabad (INH), accompanied by the Councillor for the South Asia Region, Fr Biju Michael.
03. Ranchi, India – 25 February 2023 - As part of the Animation Visit to the Salesian Province of India-New Delhi (INN), Fr Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, reached Ranchi, capital of the State of Jharkhand, where, among other tasks, he met with numerous young people.
04. Mumbai, India - February 2023 - From February 13 to 17, the Salesian World Advisory Council for Formation was held, organized and led by Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councilor for Formation, and the Formation Sector. Among the 17 participants were the Regional Coordinators for Formation, the Directors of the Regional Animation Centers and the Central Formation Team.
05. Munich, Germany - February 2023 - From February 6 to 10, the annual meeting of Provincial Delegates for Youth Ministry of Europe was held, led by Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende, General Councilor for Youth Ministry.
06. Turin, Italy - February 2023 - The Provincial Delegates for Missionary Animation (DIAM) of the Salesian Region Africa-Madagascar met in Valdocco from February 1-3. The Regional Coordinator for Missionary Animation, Fr Privat Fouda, animated the meeting, joined by Fr Alfred Maravilla, General Councillor for the Missions, and the Sector Team for the Missions.
07. Aleppo, Syria - February 2023 - Following the terrible earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on the night of February 5-6, the Salesian community in Aleppo immediately opened its doors, welcoming more than 500 people inside and giving them all the support it could. In the days that followed, various initiatives were launched throughout the Salesian world to come to the aid of the people.
08. Goma, R.D. Congo - February 2023 - Tens of thousands of people left their homes following new waves of violence recorded in North Kivu Province. The three football fields of the "Don Bosco Ngangi" Center have thus filled with some 26,000 displaced people. The emergency situation is being addressed by the local Salesians in collaboration with the NGO VIS, the "Salesian Missions" Mission Office in New Rochelle, USA, and other organizations trying to meet the needs of the displaced.
