The important anniversary of "Voci Fraterne" does not come "empty handed", but with a rich heritage to its credit: about a thousand issues and over 20,000 pages full of stories, reports, reflections and insights that were able to positively contaminate the Italian social fabric.
For the magazine's centenary, several events have been scheduled, the first on Friday 8 November in Rome at 10 am at Palazzo Montecitorio, which will feature some of the most authoritative names in Italian Catholic publishing.
This event will be opened by the inaugural lecture on Communication in the thoughts of Pope Francis by Andrea Tornielli, Editorial Director of the Dicastery for Communication at the Holy See; subsequently Dr. Tornielli will also take part in the Round Table on the current state and the future of the Catholic press, together with Vania De Luca, National President of the Unione Cattolica Stampa Italiana, the Italian Catholic Press union; Vincenzo Morgante, Director of Italian Episcopal Conference TV and radio broadcasters: "Tv2000" and "Radio InBlu"; and Carlo Verna, President of Italy's Order of Journalists.
The conclusions will be entrusted to Fr Bruno Ferrero, multifaceted writer and Director of the Salesian Bulletin of Italy. A special guest is the actor and singer Marcello Cirillo, who played Don Bosco in the musical dedicated to him for the Bicentenary of Don Bosco's birth; he will read passages from Don Bosco.
The event is to be conducted and moderated by Valerio Martorana, Director of "Voci Fraterne".
