Italy – Celebration of Mary Help of Christians: Calendar of main events

(ANS - Turin) - With today, May 23, the celebrations for the feast of Mary Help of Christians are close to their peak: up to all day tomorrow, Turin will be the venue for numerous events and tributes, even more solemn this year for the recurrence of the 150th anniversary of the inauguration and consecration of the "mother church" and spiritual center of the Salesians worldwide: the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians of Valdocco.

Below, the calendar of the main events:

- May 23 - 6.00 pm (UTC + 2) - presentation of the non-commercial volume "La Città di Don Bosco" (Valdocco, Sala Sangalli);

- May 24 - 11:00 - Solemn Mass, presided over by the Archbishop of Turin, Mgr. Cesare Nosiglia;

- May 24 - 6:30 pm - Solemn Mass, presided over by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime;

- May 24 - 8.30 pm - Solemn procession of Mary Help of Christians, presided by the Archbishop of Turin, Msgr. Nosiglia.

All these four events will be visible live on the Facebook page of ANS, with commentary in Italian and Spanish.

The celebrations of May 24 will also be visible via satellite on "Telepace HD" (channel 515 Sky).
