Sixty-five representatives from various NGOs and structures of the Salesian Family of all five continents are participating at the seminar which ends Saturday, April 21, at the "Fraterna Domus" of Sacrofano, near Rome.
In the first work session, the basics of digital interaction and the foundations for developing a digital marketing program were examined: from analysis of the ease of navigation of institutional websites to reading statistics on their respective web visitors, to digital campaigns dedicated to specific projects ...
The same theme was discussed in the second session when the most advanced resources and tools currently available were examined, with reference also, but not limited to, the use of social networks.
In the morning session of the Day 2, the focus is on how to develop appropriate fundraising strategies; in the afternoon, the presentation of 5 practical tips to best coordinate the whole series of activities related to communication, marketing, promotion that the various organizations already traditionally perform.
On Days 3 and 4, opportunities to work together will be debated and discussed – with a review of what development agencies and structures with similar features/ dimensions to the Salesian networks do; also, the advantages deriving from collective work shall be illustrated. Presentations to identify proposals and programs on which to work together shall then follow, plus drawing up a list of priority initiatives and possibilities will be made with efforts to create a roadmap to implement increasingly integrated and effective services between the various realities.
In an increasingly competitive context between NGOs and associative entities, all increasingly mediated by digital technologies, being able to make the most from available resources becomes a fundamental factor towards benefitting the most needy children and young people around the world.
"It is not enough to do good; we must also do it well," says a famous proverb. The Salesian network is working, indeed, to do so at its best.
