After the first edition, April 2016, this second is dedicated to the scientific assessment and theological evaluation of miracles. Among the speakers: Cardinal Angelo Amato, SDB, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints; Fr Boguslaw Turek; msgr Carmelo Pellegrino of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints; Fr François-Marie Léthel, OCD, Professor of spirituality at the Teresianum; Dr. Lodovica Maria Zanet, collaborator of General Postulation.
Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major, will open the work sessions, while the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, shall offer a reflection on the theme of the Strenna 2018.
The meeting, with 90 participants expected, including consecrated, lay people and diocesan priests, shall see the representation of as many as 13 groups of the Salesian Family, a testimony of how holiness is an element of communion and strength in the charismatic family born of Don Bosco.
"The objective that we set ourselves with this Seminar," said Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General of the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, "is to foster through the relationships, experiences, moments of sharing and work in groups the contents and processes that help in ascertaining and accompanying alleged miracles." "The Causes of Saints, in fact, are considered 'major causes' both for the nobility of the subject matter and for their impact on the life of the people of God," said Pope Benedict XVI. Enhancing the patrimony of holiness that has flourished from Don Bosco and reaches to our day is to demonstrate the truth of the sentence pronounced by Father Rua after the death of the holy founder: 'From now on, be it our motto: the sanctity of the children is proof of the sanctity of the father.'"
