Entitled "The dual system in Italy. A step in a structured Vocational Training in Active Labour policy", the 2016 seminar aims to contribute to better training and youth employment, by opening the debate to contributions, testimonies, methods, systems and experiences of guests coming this year from Spain, UK and Poland.
"We feel that the attention and consideration given to vocational training have been growing in this country for some time. It is understood that it is necessary as a way to promote youth employment," says Lauretta Valente, President of CIOFS-FP.
In the year 2014-2015 professional training catered for 329,387 students in Italy (ISFOL data) and there is a trend of continuous growth and one of the lowest rates of school dropout. This is happening despite the fact that, until now, this learning process was not available in all Italian regions.
The European Seminar is a platform to envision and plan the necessary actions in this field, which is experiencing a period of profound and fundamental transformation. The final day of the seminar assumes great importance in this respect, with the presence, among others, of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, Luigi Bobba, and the Representative of the Coordination of Regions, Cristina Grieco.
CIOFS-FP has been promoting the European Seminar since 1989, addressing every year a topical theme in the field of training and employment. The event has become an indispensable moment of sharing for those who work in education and in the national and European institutions.
