The event will bring together the Delegates and those responsible for communication from the various Salesian presences and organizations in Spain, to deepen the importance of sharing experiences and to grow in the development of projects, in order to improve Salesian communication in the digital environment. The special participation of Fr dos Santos will constitute an added value, because it will allow us to know first hand the path envisaged by the Congregation, in the coming years, in the Social Communication sector.
The digital mode in which the sessions shall be offered make it possible for all people sensitive to communication from different groups and environments close to Salesian realities to participate. "As a novelty of this edition we want to invite local teams to meet in homes to share their work, deepen their knowledge and have a common experience of this formation day. Furthermore, in the second part of the session, we will be invited to examine - with group work - the communication experiences in four action areas, thanks to which it will be possible to evaluate how we are working and, consequently, to outline a common strategy," the organizers explain.
These four workshops will focus on the themes: work on the web, podcasts, online design and presence in social networks. "The group work," the organizers conclude, "will serve to share the experiences we are already carrying out in each of these areas. We will offer guidelines of work for the future, with applications and practical tools, and we will give substance to what will be shared in the individual groups through a digital project that will be developed in collaboration between the workshop participants until next May."
As Pope Francis said in his message for the 55th World Communications Day (2021): "All of us are responsible for the communications we make, for the information we share, for the control that we can exert over fake news by exposing it. All of us are to be witnesses of the truth: to go, to see and to share."
