Fr A.F. Artime invites us to live this moment in unity with Pope Francis who calls for the whole Church and all men of good will to "respond with the universality of prayer, of compassion, of tenderness. Let us remain united. Let us make our closeness felt toward those persons who are most lonely and tried. Our closeness to doctors, health workers, nurses and nurses, volunteers ... Our closeness to the authorities who must take tough measures, but for our own sake ... Closeness to all." (Angelus of March 22, 2020).
Every community, every group of the Salesian Family, every family will find appropriate ways and times to fulfill this Act of Entrustment to Mary Help of Christians.
On Tuesday 24 March, the monthly commemoration of the Help of Christians, the Rector Major in Rome will guide the prayer of the Holy Rosary, at the end of which he will make the Act of Entrustment on behalf of the entire Salesian Family in front of the picture of the Help of Christians in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, where Don Bosco celebrated Mass on 16 May 1887, interrupting it fifteen times with tears in his eyes, for having understood the meaning of the dream of the 9 years.
Like Don Bosco, the Salesian Family today strongly believes that Mary is a great and illustrious garrison of the Church; "a marvellous help of Christians", especially in times of distress, struggle and adversity, who defends us from all evil of the soul and body, "and at the hour of death welcomes our soul in Paradise!"
The prayer of the Holy Rosary and the Entrustment Act prayers will be available in six languages on ANSChannel on YouTube and the ANS Facebook page.
At 8 am (UTC+1) in English.
At 12 o'clock (UTC+1) in all other languages.
