"For our young people today, accustomed to immediate results ... educating to social commitment is essential," writes the Rector Major in the 2020 Strenna. And in full harmony with this line, the Pope has announced a worldwide event for May 14, 2020: "Rebuilding the global educational compact" in order to "revive the commitment for and with the younger generations, renewing the passion for a more open and inclusive education, capable of patient listening, constructive dialogue and of mutual understanding."
2020 thus opens with great prospects, dreams and hopes for the whole Salesian Family. But, to unify criteria, commitments and - above all - to send the same message on a global level, we propose the 10 events of 2020, the 10 trends to develop into "trending topics" in our actions on social networks and the 10 hashtags that must flood the digital courtyards:
