For the second consecutive year the IUSVE Communication Department participates in the Rimini Meeting from 18 to 24 August 2019 with its university students, alongside the Official Press Office, from various sectors: television, photography, newspaper, social network, videonews, radio, web communication.
This year's theme is meaningful for students preparing to enter the world of Communications: “Nacque il tuo nome da ciò che fissavi” -(i.e., Your name was born from what you gazed or were fixed upon.)
On the one hand, today's reflection leads to the ability to construct and control reality through an increasingly widespread technological power; but at the same time a profound loss is increasingly present regarding the sense or meaning of the world and of the society one wants to build.
“Communicating does not only mean creating an effective and winning message, but also spreading values and creating a critical conscience. This is what we are trying to achieve with our students by having them participate in this unique experience, so they can meet the world of work, working alongside great professionals,” says the Director of the Department prof. Fr Mariano Diotto. “It is an opportunity to apply the cultural skills acquired in university courses and see how to work professionally in this sector. Again this year the students' candidacies were numerous, as they include the importance of knowing how to communicate in a transparent and truthful way, living a cultural event so important live, in person.”
In addition to the meetings already scheduled, a specific seminar is organized for IUSVE students entitled: “Communication in the digital age: new challenges and new scenarios”. This year, speakers will include: Oscar di Montigny, Chief of Innovation of Banca Mediolanum; Francesca Trevisi, Public Speaking trainer; Lella Mazzoli, Director of the Institute for Journalism Training in Urbino; Roberto Masiero, President of The Innovation Group; Nicole Ramadori, RAI journalist; Marco Bardazzi, ENI Executive Vice President; Marco Dotti, sociologist and university professor.
