In the Mass of Thanksgiving, Fr. Boštjan Jamnik SDB, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry and leader of the "Slovenia Oratory" project, thanked the young animators and collaborators for their work and for their commitment in developing talents via the biblical example. God gave talents to the Salesians and the FMA 30 years ago and they developed them in a wonderful way among the many fears and obstacles.
The example of Don Bosco and the Salesian charism have spread throughout this mission in almost every corner of Slovenia. Fr Boštjan continued to bear in mind the importance of three points today: the accompaniment of animators and youngsters, creating a sense of community by forming groups, and then proceeding to a Salesian educational framework for all.
In the end he thanked the animators for all their voluntary work and testimony of faith, creativity and hope, wishing that all this, brought together and enriched with the guidelines of Pope Francis, shall be the heritage for the future of the summer oratories.
Also present, alongside the animators, were many diocesan parish priests, religious, nuns and Salesians, including Fr Marko Košnik, Superior of the Salesian Province of Slovenia.
