RMG – A new video “Dear Confreres”

16 March 2016

(ANS - Rome) - The key issues addressed by the Rector Major in the most recent video of the series "Dear Confreres" are: first of all, Syria, with an appeal not to forget the reality of a people who are suffering and the determiation of the Salesians to bring joy among the ruins of war; then the importance of communicating the good and communicating it responsibly; and finally good wishes to ANS for its new site.

Fr Ángel Fernández Artime begins by saying: "Dear Confreres, I would really not like us to forget our brothers and sisters and the young people and families who are suffering so much in Syria." He goes on to recall the appeal of the young people of Aleppo to spend one hour every week in Eucharistic adoration for peace in Syria.

The Rector Major then invites us "to make known in every part of the world all the good that we do as a Salesian Family" and to do so "with great responsibility."  Speaking of Salesian communication there is also a reference to the new site of our agency: "this is great news which will be of help in the world of education and evangelization."

He ends with a message of hope, which deserves to be seen and heard.

The video, currently available in 10 different language versions, can be seen on the YouTube channel ANSChannel.
