Throughout the month of November, the "Red de Casas Don Bosco", with the support of Peru's "Don Bosco Foundation", promotes a solidarity campaign called: "Your hand supports a hope" to raise funds for the benefit of the more than 600 children, teenagers and young people currently being cared for; all minors who have lived in situations of social risk, forced to survive in the streets, sleeping in parks, under bridges, children deprived of love and affection, victims of violence, exploitation and abuse ... Insecurity, a problem that begins in childhood.
That is why the Salesians of Peru, for 126 years, have been trying to turn the lives of these little ones, offering them an experience of home and family, forming them in a trade or vocation to help them reintegrate into society as "good Christians and honest citizens."
The "Red de Casas Don Bosco" includes 11 boarding homes in the cities of Ayacucho, Arequipa, Cusco, the Cusco Alto Andinas missions (Ampares, Calca and Quebrada Honda), Huancayo and Lima (Breña and Rímac).
The "Red de Casas Don Bosco" and the Don Bosco Foundation dedicated one day to fundraising by carrying money boxes to various parts of the city and inviting people of goodwill, as well as institutions and solidarity firms and associations to support the campaign.
All proceeds collected during the campaign will be used to support the services offered to the children living in the homes of the Salesian network.
