In addition, the reports on the Extraordinary Visitations carried out in recent months will be discussed. This is a considerable agenda also given the anticipation of GC29 from 2026 to 2025. Discussion on these Visitations will involve 15 Salesian circumscriptions:

A traditional and ever relevant activity both in terms of time and energy, is accompanying the newly appointed Provincials who have arrived specifically for the orientation course dedicated to them. There are 15 of them in this session.
As well as, the Christmas vigil, on Monday 23 December, another classic appointment for General Council Plenary sessions will take place: the joint meeting with the Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and her Council for a moment of spirituality, fellowship and shared planning.
The sessions of the General Council also have the accompaniment of the processes carried out by each Sector on the agenda and the journey of the different circumscriptions; programming of appointments and anniversaries of a worldwide nature for the Congregation, the Salesian Family or the whole Church, with specific attention, in this case, to the upcoming GC29.
During the meeting of the General Council, the 43rd Salesian Family Spirituality Days will also take place in Turin, the usual appointment to launch and deepen the message of the Strenna for the new year. The circumstance will provide the members of the Council with the opportunity to re-immerse themselves in Salesian charismatic sources in Turin, from 16 to 19 January, less than a month before the official opening of GC29, scheduled to begin on 16 February.
