The following day Fr Romero presided at the Opening Mass with Morning Prayer, again at the Provincial House, and officially inaugurated the visitation programme. He then met with the provincial Economer, Fr Erondi Tamandaré. On the same morning, the Regional Councillor participated in a moment of interaction with the collaborators at the Provincial Office, and then held talks with Sectors. He spoke with Fr Eloir Inácio de Oliveira and, later, with Fr Aldir da Silva, Provincial Delegates for Vocational Youth Ministry and Missionary Animation.
At noon, Fr Gabriel attended a lunch with lay representatives, including members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) and the Council of Salesian Cooperators (ASC). In the afternoon, he met with the provincial Youth Ministry and Social Communication teams, and then met with the Vice-Provincial of BCG, Fr Ademir Lima de Oliveira. The day ended with a dinner with the local Salesian community.
On Thursday, 26 September, Fr Romero began his visit to the Dom Bosco Catholic University (UCDB), welcomed by the Rector, Fr José Marinoni. On the occasion, he was able to learn about the university's facilities and preside at Mass in the Saint John Bosco University Parish, located on the UCDB campus. Students and children from the São Domingos Sávio school participated in the celebration. The Councillor met with the Vice-Rector, the course coordinators and the members of the Saint Francis de Sales Salesian community, connected with the UCDB.
In the afternoon, the visit continued at the Salesian Social Works in Campo Grande, including the Casa Dom Bosco and the centre in Ampare. During the visits, Fr Romero spoke with collaborators, children and coordinators of the works, thus concluding another day of his Extraordinary Visitation to the BCG Province.
Fr Gabriel Romero's programme in the Province will continue until the end of November, with appointments and meetings in various Salesian presences in the Province.
