The morning began with a moment of prayer led by the Province of Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG), which paid special attention to the issue of people in situations of Human Mobility, highlighting the importance of understanding the reasons for migratory movements and the violation of the rights of children, adolescents, young adults and families full of hope, who face the challenges of a world that discriminates against them, violates them and makes them invisible. In addition, the emphasis was placed on the work that the Salesians carry out to respond to this phenomenon, accompanying and supporting their needs.
The first block of activities of the day included a Round Table on "Youth Realities - What do young people say?", serving as a counterpoint to the previous day's conferences that addressed "Youth Realities - What does the Congregation say?", with the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, Fr Miguel Ángel García Morcuende; and "Youth Realities of America - What does the academy say?", with Prof. Maurício Perondi. In this new space, six young people from different Salesian works shared their realities and their points of view on the problems they experience and see in each of their contexts: Brazilians Ricardo Almeida, Joice de Souza and Dayanara Dominiciano, in person; and Jonathan Cedeño, from Ecuador, Lucía Ferreyra, from Uruguay, and Ranneirys Salaya, from Colombia, connected remotely.
After the break, some bests ocial work practices were presented, followed by a workshop that divided the participants into groups according to the following themes: "Human mobility", "Youth employability", "Drug addiction and problematic consumption", "Child labour and the street situation", "Networking at the local level", "Youth violence" and "Networking at the international level". In each working table, opportunity for exchange was promoted in which the weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities (SWOT analysis) of Salesian activity were identified, taking into account the criteria to be always kept in mind across all areas: evangelisation, human rights and mental health.
The third and final block of the day saw the interventions of the Referent for Works and Social Services of the Youth Ministry Sector, Fr Rafael Bejarano, who brought valuable reflections on the theme "Charismatic sustainability for attention to youth realities", and a presentation of "Bússola Social", a platform adopted by the Salesian Network of Brazil to support Salesian social works in the country in managing and enhancing the impact of their projects and services. The address was curated by Aureo Giunco, co-founder of "Bússola Social".
The day ended with the Eucharist celebrated by Fr Francisco Sánchez, and the liturgy seen to by the delegation of the Santa Rosa Province of Peru (PER).
