The Salesian Cultural Animator is the one who accompanies individual people or groups on outdoor experiences, providing them with complete assistance. In addition, the animtor sees to the implementation of the program prepared by the organisers, knows how to contextualise cultural elements in a specific educative and pastoral panorama, is present in every phase of the experience and guarantees the Salesian climate for the entire experience.
The formation cycle will be held at the Salesian Teresa Gerini Institute in Rome, with canteen service and possibility of overnight stay, on the weekends of 27-29 September and 8-10 November.
To access it will be necessary to be in possession of some prerequisites, such as knowledge and previous experience of the Salesian charism; relational, communication and leadership skills; problem-solving skills; secondary school certificate and enrolment in a degree program or similar.
The course has some fundamental educational objectives, including the deepening of Salesian spirituality in potential educative and pastoral experiences; the ability to carry out a personal synthesis on the relationship between culture and faith; learning to design an educative and pastoral cultural path; the strengthening of group management skills in outdoor mode; knowledge of the reference regulations of experiences of "tourist" accompaniment and associative life; knowledge of the elements of storytelling in its pastoral use; the construction of a small community of Cultural Animators, to facilitate shared learning.
