The COM Province is a pioneer in the Salesian world in the implementation and certification of this management system, as it is also and at the national level among religious congregations and organisations of an educational, pastoral and social nature.
The scope of this certification also covers nine COM educational institutions: Ciudad Don Bosco, the El Sufragio institute, the Pedro Justo Berrio institute in Medellín, the San Pedro Claver institute in Cartagena, the Don Bosco social centre in Barraquilla, the Don Boscore Training centre in Cali, the San Juan Bosco institute in Dosquebradas, the Santo Domingo Savio institute in La Ceja and the Don Bosco technical-educational institute in Popayán.
Starting from the implementation of the system and the achievement of certification, the German Salesian Don Bosco Mondo NGO supported the project entitled: "Promotion and development of environmental culture in the social works and educational services of the Province ‘St Louis Bertrando’ – COM", which provided the necessary economic resources to achieve this provincial objective.
