Thailand – Animation visit of Fr. Joan Luís Playà and Br. Dominic Nam

(ANS – Bangkok) – On 21 March 2024, members of the Salesian Family of Thailand shared a fraternal meeting with Fr. Joan Lluís Playà, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, and Bro. Dominic Nguyen Nam, SDB, Salesian Brother and the Rector Major's Delegate for the Past Pupils and Salesian Cooperators.

Representatives of the Salesian Family groups present in the country participated in the meeting, namely: Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), Salesian Cooperators (ASC), Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB), Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (SIHM), The Daughters of the Queenship of Mary (DQM), The Sisters of the Queenship of Mary Immaculate (SQM), Salesian Past Pupils and The Past Pupils of Salesian Family.

The gathering took place in the Provincial House in Bangkok and was coordinated by Fr. Dominic Suphot Riungam, the Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family of Thailand.

For about a week-long stay of Fr. Playà and Bro. Nam in Thailand, on 19 March, they visited the central house of the Daughters of the Queenship of Mary at Phra Mae Marie School - Sathorn, Bangkok. On 20 March, they visited the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary who were in the annual spiritual retreat at the House of Prayer - Ratchaburi. And on the 22 - 23 March, they visited the youth and the Salesian confreres who were in the 'vocational - friendship camp' at Don Bosco Youth Center, Khao Takieap, Huahin.

The visit of Fr. Playà and Bro. Nam has deeply impressed and encouraged all the ten groups - members of the Salesian Family. This has also aroused the enthusiasm of everyone to work together for the good of the young in Thailand according to the charism of St. John Bosco.
