Within the overall framework of Vatican policies on ad gentes missions in the period considered, often linked to forms of colonialism, numerous issues related to the missionary action carried out by the Salesian Society in the various continents will be addressed. The Conference is open to all and it will be possible to book hospitality at the same Salesian university. Program and further information will be disseminated before the summer.
Also on the missionary theme, during the spring and autumn of 2025, five Continental Seminars are also scheduled promoted by the sections of the Salesian History Association (ACSSA) of Africa-Madagascar, America, South Asia, East Asia-Oceania and Europe. ACSSA will explore the theme of missionary activity not only addressed ad gentes, but also addressed to the local Churches in a missionary perspective, embracing, with the Salesians, the action carried out by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) and other religious branches of the Salesian Family. Except for one date yet to be set, the others are already defined and communicated.
Approximately 100 people are expected to actively participate among the Salesians of Don Bosco, FMA, members of the Salesian Family. The results will subsequently flow into the International Conference scheduled for the year 2027, in Brazil, to commemorate and relive in this way the first missionary expedition of the FMA.
