During his stay, Fr Pérez Godoy had the opportunity to visit all 30 Salesian works that are part of the INE Province. Through these visits, he had the opportunity to meet Salesian communities and lay people who dedicate their lives to the service of others. These meetings were very meaningful, as they allowed for an even closer bond between the members of the Salesian Family and for them to share common experiences and challenges.
During his visit, the Regional Councillor actively participated in the various initiatives promoted by the Province. He has taken part in pastoral meetings, conferences and formative moments, demonstrating his commitment to supporting and encouraging all educative and pastoral communities. In particular, he had the opportunity to meet many young people especially during the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) meetings in March, sharing the joy and enthusiasm for Salesian life with them.
Fr Pérez Godoy’s presence had a significant impact on the people he met during his visit. He brought with him a message of hope and trust in the Salesian mission, especially by highlighting the works that God is doing through the commitment and dedication of all those who are part of the Salesian Family. His gentle manner, infectious smile and testimony to the beauty of Salesian life were an inspiration and encouragement to all he met.
In addition to sharing his experience and his testimony, the Regional Councillor also offered his support and guidance to those with responsibility for animation and governance of the Salesian works in the Triveneto, encouraging them to persevere in their educational and pastoral mission and inviting them to dream big and to be bold in carrying Don Bosco’s charism forward.
