The buses transporting the more than 650 Salesian coadjutors participating in the pilgrimage left early today, Monday, Oct. 10, from the "Sacred Heart" in Rome, arriving in Turin in the evening.
On Tuesday, Oct. 11, there will be two key moments: in the morning, divided into small groups, the coadjutors shall visit Valdocco, the Casa Don Bosco House Museum, the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, and all the most relevant spaces of the Salesian Motherhouse, to discover the figure of Don Bosco as a priest and a fixed presence among the youth of the Oratory. In the afternoon, at 6 p.m. (UTC+2), they will participate in the solemn Eucharistic Concelebration of thanksgiving for the holiness of Artemide Zatti presided over by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime.
On Wednesday 12 they will delve into the early years of young Don Bosco's life, as well as his initial formation to priestly life. The pilgrim coadjutors will thus visit Chieri and Castelnuovo Don Bosco and, in particular, the entire Colle Don Bosco complex.
The third and final actual day of the pilgrimage, Thursday, Oct. 12, back in Valdocco and through the streets of Turin, will allow the brothers present to delve deeper into the figure of Don Bosco as the founder of the Congregation and to learn about the early years of the development of the Salesian Society.
This time of grace will come to a close for all participants with the concluding Eucharist of the same day on Thursday 12. On Friday morning, in fact, the return trip to Rome is scheduled for subsequent international departures.
