During his speech, Fr. Cameroni mentioned that it is important "to make known the reality of the holiness of the Salesian Family, to safeguard this patrimony and to imitate its examples." He told those present that everyone should be inspired by the lives and witness of the brothers and sisters who guide and help on the path of holiness that everyone is called to walk in their daily lives.
Next came Sister Francesca Caggiano, Vice Postulator General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), who spoke about the figure of Mother Rosetta Marchese, Servant of God, who was Mother General of the FMA Institute and whose actions during her life were characterized by her loving dedication to young people and deep spiritual motherhood.
Next, Sister Elena Tinitana, FMA, referred to the cause of beatification of Sister Maria Troncatti; Angelica Almeida, from the Salesian Historical Archives, recalled the figures of Fr. Luigi Bolla and Fr. Carlo Crespi, Salesians of Don Bosco, who are also on their way to the altars.
Fr. Cameroni will be on an animation visit to the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" Province of Ecuador (ECU) until next Sept. 15. The main reason for his arrival in Ecuador is the start, in the city of Macas, from Sept. 1 to 10, of the diocesan process on an alleged miracle attributed to the intercession of Blessed Sister Maria Troncatti.
On Sunday, September 11, the Postulator General of the Causes of the Saints of the Salesian Family, will travel to the city of Cuenca, where he will animate a meeting with the Salesian Family of the southern zone. The following day, he will visit the significant places of Fr. Carlo Crespi and participate in a meeting on his cause of beatification.
At the same time, he will also participate in work to examine and make suggestions on the work of the Ecuadorian Historical Commission regarding Fr. Bolla's cause of beatification.
