In collaboration with the Congregation's Headquarters, the Social Communication Sector, and ANS, the Salesian Bulletin of Argentina is now making the film’s dubbed versions in four languages available to viewers.
The film - a production of the Salesian Bulletin and the two Provinces of Argentina, North and South - is a project that was produced in 2019 and whose launch took place in July 2020, after the 28th General Chapter of the Salesians of Don Bosco. In fact, the film had been previewed at the General Chapter on March 13, 2020, at the end of the Chapter – before previously scheduled, due to the pandemic.
Remarkable was the collaboration and help of the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, who from the very beginning called for this project to be produced as a cultural asset of the Congregation. "It is an asset of the Congregation, a gift that we give to the youth, to the confreres, and the Salesian Family," Fr. Á.F. Artime declared on that occasion. And it is worth mentioning that "Misiones Salesianas," the Salesian Mission Office of Madrid, also joined in the making of the project.
The dubbing project for the film was handled by the scriptwriter and director of the work himself, Fr. Ricardo Campoli, a member of the Sector for Social Communication at Salesian Headquarters in Rome, with the support of the General Counselor for Social Communication, Fr. Gildasio Mendes, and the General Economer, Br. Jean Paul Muller, SDB.
Three companies did the dubbing, in different locations: Rome, for the Italian version; Los Angeles, for the English version; and Buenos Aires, with connections to companies in Brazil and France for the Portuguese and French versions. A number of members of the Salesian Family generously joined in revising the dubbing, including Fr. Silvio Torres, a Salesian from the Province of Argentina North (ARN); Euclides Fernandes, Delegate of Social Communication from the Province of Brazil-Campo Grande (BCG); and Salesian Cooperator Pierre Larocque, from Canada.
