"Boosco.org is the result of a communication project that has been planned for at least a year and designed to give space to young people and get in touch with them," said one of the promoters.
The presentation of the new digital space took place yesterday 16 August, the two-hundred-and-first anniversary of the birth of Don Bosco. There were many young people present and a good number of Salesians, beginning with the Provincial Fr Alberto Lorenzelli and Fr Claudio Cortes, Delegate for Youth Ministry, who submitted this new site with the promise that it would be a "new presence among the young".
Boosco.org comes as a result of the work of the Youth Ministry and Social Communication Offices and aims to provide pastoral and Salesian resources.
Boosco.org is also designed to interact with users through social networks, through its Web 2.0 interactivity.
Boosco.org is a project for young people and all those who work with young people and who want to have a place in the "digital courtyard, the most hotly contested in recent times."
Boosco.org is an educational proposal which provides leaders with ample material on Mary Help of Christians, the Catechism, Ceferino Namuncurá, Social Communication, Don Bosco, Pastoral Ministry, solidarity ... and much more.
"Even though he lived in the nineteenth century, Don Bosco is a man of enormous relevance" and his heirs cannot be outdone: boosco.org is the challenge to be present in a Salesian way in the digital courtyards.
