Two hundred youth delegates from forty-five countries from all continents met on Wednesday 27 July 2016 at EXPO in Krakow to celebrate the World Forum of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), on the occasion of the 31st World Youth Day. During the group work, each participant was asked: what works of mercy do I receive in my life? What challenges do I face in being merciful? What can we, as SYM, say in response to the call of Pope Francis for mercy? In the light of the responses received from the working groups, a core committee met two days later at the Salesian seminary in Krakow and drafted the final text of the document as follows: sdb.org
Poland - Message of young people of the SYM from World Youth Day in Krakow: "Blessed are the merciful"
(ANS - Krakow) - The message of the Salesian Youth Movement is the result of reflection during World Youth Day, but mostly it is the result of a sharing of the experiences of these young people in various parts of the world. The final message is a word that confirms their commitment and reiterates their willingness to continue the journey of faith in Jesus according to the Salesian charism.
