From 5 to 6 p.m. (UTC+1) next Wednesday, Auberie Samson (Secretary General of Don Bosco Youth-Net) will interview Bro. Jean Paul Muller SDB, General Economer of the Salesians of Don Bosco, at the "Chapel for Europe" in Brussels, asking his point of view, by virtue of his global outlook, on the situation of young people during this time of pandemic, in Europe and even beyond the Old Continent.
Bro. Muller shall thus have the opportunity to share the latest news about activities, projects and good practices carried out with and for young people by Don Bosco's heirs and their many collaborators and sympathizers, making use of his dual point of view - the one offered to him by his position in the central government of the Congregation and the one he accrues during his periodic field, on-site visits.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, in fact, almost two years ago, Salesians have been supporting young people, especially the most vulnerable, in 135 countries around the world, helping them to cope with the many new challenges that have emerged.
Other topics of conversation will be the message of the Rector Major's 2022 Strenna - "Do all through love, nothing through constraint" - and what it may say to the youth of Europe; and the meaning, value and prospects of the "SDB Change Congress" event, which the Economer General's Office is planning for 2022 as a moment of reflection for the Congregation on the challenges that await the world in the near future.
The audience shall also have the opportunity to ask questions to the Economer General of the Salesian Congregation.
