The Rector Major was enthusiastic to meet and get to know the students of one of the city's most well-known and renowned institutes, just a few days after the resumption of lessons, this after a year and a half of education strongly limited by the pandemic. In fact, interviewed by the young people of the school newspaper, the Agnelli Magazine, Fr Á.F. Artime immediately showed his Salesian heart: "How nice to see the young paparazzi; I want them on the front line!" he exclaimed.
Subsequently, he took part in the press conference for the presentation and inauguration of the new labs of the Technical Technological Institute, completed in record time.
Andrea Ragosto, the Director of the Agnelli Foundation, the consultants who designed the labs: Studio Tavella Marco represented by Mauro Racca and Eng. Alessandro Apolloni were present on the occasion besides the construction companies: "D’Engineering" represented by Marco D’Elia, and "IET" by Alessandro Marchesi. Many representatives of the various companies that collaborate with the institute were present as well. On the side of the Salesians, along with the Rector Major, the Superior of the Special Circumscription of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta (ICP), Fr Leonardo Mancini; the Director of the work, Fr Claudio Belfiore; and Fr Daniel Antúnez, the President of "Missioni Don Bosco", with whom Edoardo Agnelli has been collaborating for several years were also present.
Finally, there were many teachers and technicians who, after the conference, showed the Rector Major and the guests who had come, the new laboratories and experiments developed in recent years. “This presentation certainly thrilled everyone. For the guests who admired the enchantment of the new labs, the satisfaction of the completed works was evident, but for us, who will now live in these places, they will not only be beautiful locations; they will be the metaphorical 'battlefields' where we will experience new adventures, occurances, friendships, wonder, efforts and satisfactions,” commented the representatives of the students present for the occasion.
After this moment of formal presentation, the Holy Mass took place. Particular and profound were the words of the Rector Major, who, in his homily, exhorted: "Every day it is good to carry out simple actions of profound humanity, without looking, without judging, without murmuring. As only in this way, can the work of God be carried out; all the rest are just circumstances.” The elegant white-clad choir and the graceful group of small musicians provided a perfectly refined setting for the celebration.
The students from Agnelli Magazine conclude: "We now have the flight of a new school year ahead of us. We sincerely thank those who have allowed us to fly and knowing that we will not fly alone, even if we are perhaps a little afraid, we will attempt the ascent!"
