ADBU was officially inaugurated at the end of 2008. It consists of two campuses, in Azara and Tapesia. It currently has 2000 students enrolled in on-site courses and 5,000 students in digital courses.
The Salesian community, after huge amounts of resources and energy, is now completing the final stages for the transfer, by the end of this month, of six Departments of Social Sciences and three Departments of Natural Science. The Technology School will continue its activities in the Azara campus.
Fifty-five new blocks have been built. These include 30 reserved for students, 24 for families, a residence with an adjoining guest area, a cafeteria, two dormitories, and a laundry room. Four km of internal roads have been built to connect the different structures, and in the park there is a big 12-acre lake and 3 other smaller reservoirs.
