In addition to the numerous quality photos, there are also very short texts on a large variety of aspects of what has been done. There are also six pages of data, an initial and minimal synthesis of the enormous amount of data that the Salesian coordination of the emergency response to Covid-19 has received from all the Provinces and the Salesian Family across the globe. Finally, there is also a list of international and local partners to thank.
The book is currently only in English, but the possibility of producing it in other language versions is already foreseen. It counts 246 pages of 170mm x 210mm. Four free copies will be sent from the Salesian Headquarters in Rome to each Provincial House, as a sign of gratitude for the active collaboration given throughout the ongoing emergency.
From next week, the interested parties of the Salesian Family will be able to request the editable PDF version of the book, for a symbolic contribution to its preparation, and each Province or group can also replace some of the photos in the book with those of its area or country to make it more attractive to its own audience.
“You can purchase additional copies if you want to give them away to some of your donors, collaborators, volunteers and friends. If you order by Wednesday 20th January, a copy will cost you eight euros plus shipping costs. For subsequent orders, each copy will cost 10 euros plus shipping costs,” explained Fr George Menamparampil, Coordinator assigned deputy by the Congregation to manage the Covid-19 emergency.
