Among the topics dealt with in the Council session are the new organization of the teams of the Youth Ministry Delegation, the work of the new councilors, the state of health of the religious and the situation of the schools after the summer break. The various Delegations commented on the start of the new year and the topics discussed in the meeting of the Provincials of the Mediterranean Region and the Iberian Conference were communicated. There was also the opportunity to reflect on various formative documents that emerged during both meetings.
The fraternal meeting with the Regional Councilor served to share common elements for the region and to outline the roadmap for the coming years. Some of the topics dealt with, also presented in the first interview granted by the Councilor to ANS, were the challenges linked to vocational fruitfulness; the revitalization of Salesian consecrated life; attention to the poorest young people at risk of exclusion, with special attention to immigration; and the missionary horizon.
In addition to working with the Regional Councilor, they also proceeded to analyze topics related to other issues that Council members presented, and there was also time for personal talks and interviews.
The session ended with the first meeting of the community directors of this new pastoral year, which took place on 15 and 16 October, online.
