The work offered by the Salesian body was also noted by the Secretariat of the Governor of the State of Telangana. Deputy Raghu Prasad, secretary of the Governor of Telangana, learned about the services offered by Salesian organizations through social networks: reading a tweet by Rashanthi Vangeepuram, Vice Commissioner of GHMC.
Subsequently, Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, BSK Executive Director - together with Fr Sarath, his assistant, and Fr Gnanapraksam, Director of the Don Bosco Navajeevan Laboratory and Rehabilitation Center (DBNJ) in Ramanthapur - was sent to participate in the food distribution campaign organized by the Honorable Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana. In return, the Hyderabad "Don Bosco Network" delivered 2,500 masks sewn by DBNJ students to the Governor.
The Governor wished to express a heartfelt thanks to the Salesian organizations for the relief works carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the same time, the BSK expressed gratitude to both the Governor's Secretariat for promoting collaboration and the GHMC Vice Commissioner for facilitating the meeting with the Governor.
