San Fernando, Chile – December 26th, 2016 – An encounter with a large attendance was held in the Retreat House of Las Peñas, in San Fernando, on December 26-29, for the “Camp of Salesian Apostolic Communities" (CAS). About 400 young people, coming from different Salesian communities of the country participated in this meeting: from La Serena, Alameda, La Cisterna, Macul, Sagrada Familia, Valdivia, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.

Buenos Aires, Argentina - December 2016 - The "Christmas for All" campaign took place on 23 December in the Salesian House of San Francisco in the Almagro neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. The campaign started with the collection of toys and preparing the Christmas dinner. The Salesian Family and the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) prepared the feast and helped to make it an experience of Church and Community.

Vitória - Brazil - December 2016 - The Salesian College of Vitória (ES), Brazil, has finished the commemorative year by winning the Marcas de Valor 2016 prize. The prize was awarded by the Red Gazeta and the Instituto Futura in the 'better schools' category. The prize was given to Bro. Cledson Rodríguez SDB in a ceremony at the Sonia Cabral Palace of Culture.
