Anisakan, Myanmar - February 2016 - From 29 February to 2 March, for the first time the Vice Province of Myanmar hosted the meeting of the Economers of the East Asia-Oceania Region. The meeting was led by Fr Piotr Gozdalski and Mr Fabio Buconi from the Economer General’s office, and by Fr Andy Satura, Coordinator of Economers of the Region. It was attended by 24 people from 11 provinces.
Sihanoukville, Cambodia - 1 March 2016 - On the afternoon of 1 March, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, accompanied by his secretary, Fr Horacio López, and by Fr Václav Klement, Councillor for the East Asia-Oceania Region, arrived at the Salesian House in Sihanoukville.
Madrid, Spain - February 2016 - On 27 February, in Don Bosco House, Madrid there was the meeting of the Association of Salesian Historians in Spain. Fr Jesús-Graciliano González was elected as President and Fr Luis Fernando López Falagan as Secretary.
Rabaul, Papua New Guinea - February 25, 2016 - "As Christians we want to build bridges.” With this sentence, on 25 February, Archbishop Francesco Panfilo, SDB, of Rabaul, blessed the Vunapope Bridge at Rabaul. Built in 1830, the bridge gives access to the main cathedral of Vunapope. It was unusable for some time, before being restored by the Nivani Company.
