Rome, Italy - March 2016 - The General Assembly of Don Bosco International (DBI) took place on 18 March.  It was chaired by Fr Fabio Attard, Councillor General for Youth Ministry and Chairman of the DBI. During the meeting, the participants reviewed the work done in 2015; the strategic priorities of DBI, the promotion of the Salesian works in the strategic areas of training for employment, and social inclusion of disadvantaged young people with a special attention to migrants and refugees. The event was concluded by Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, who thanked the DBI for the important task of being the voice of the Congregation and of young people.

Dili, East Timor - March 2016 - The Episcopal ordination of the Salesian, Virgilio do Carmo da Silva, Bishop of Dili, took place on 19 March. The celebration was presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio of East Timor, Archbishop Joseph Marino, and was attended by six bishops, many priests and religious, Salesians and members of the Salesian Family and civil authorities.

Thimphu, Bhutan - March 2016 - During the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Guwahati (ING), Fr Guillermo Basañes, Councillor for the Missions, paid a visit to a Buddhist monastery.

Lubumbashi, D.R. Congo - March 2016 - A large number of young people of the diocese of Lubumbashi took part in the diocesan Youth Days on 19 and 20 March. On the Saturday the young people recalled in particular the figure of St. Joseph; the next day they attended the celebration of Palm Sunday presided over by Archbishop Jean Pierre Tafunga, SDB.
